Triangle and Exclamation mark

Please can you help. I was trying to install the latest software via software companion and it was taking welll over an hour. So I removed the phone to complete it later. Big mistake. My phone is now disabled and only shows an exclamation mark and and triangle. Please could you advise me on what I have to do to restore it.

You shuold try to repair it from your sony ericsson PC suit, it must help, if not try updating phone software with software updating program. http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/xperiax10?cc=gb&lc=...

Friend before trying to update and repair the phone, make sure that you have an internet connection with good speed. And don't plug out your device until the update software asks you to do so. You download the software called SEUS from the link given by the fellow forum member and use it to repair your phone. This time make sure that you don't plug out the device until the repair/update is over.
