turn off safe mode

I travel and at home I have additional use for Xperia Z1. It is used as a alarm clock. I would like to turn the sleep mode off so that I have the desktop clock displayed and not turn off. This allows me to check time when sleeping if I wake up for a short time.

I would like to use the Xperia Z1 as a bed side clock when traveling and staying at hotels and not at home.

It's not possible, I am afraid.

By definition, when the screen goes to sleep nothing should be visible on it. The closest you're going to get is downloading an app which keeps your phone screen from goign to sleep, which will absolutely destroy your battery life.

Thanks, Not worried about battery life as the phone will be charging in the charging cradle.

Another feature I will have to remember to look into for the next phone...

Please don't get me wrong the phone is great no troubles.. Been working great.

Hi there,

Maybe you could try to put your phone on the charging Dock overnight and then:

Settings>Developer Options>choose "Stay Awake"(screen will never sleep while charging).

If you do not have a "Developer Options" go to:

Settings>About Phone>Build Number and then tap multiple times (8 +)
