underscore in meebo username space

I have installed meebo chat client, i couldnt enter underscore in my username in it...... how to do??

On the big X10, using the Android keyboard, press '?123' to go to the numbers screen, press 'Alt' and the underscore is just to the right of centre of the second row down.  With the Standard keyboard, the underscore is also in the numbers screen, just under the '8'.

I am sorry to tell you that I have a X10 mini pro and not X10 big..... so is it same for this also? for when i press ?mark it tells insert character and giives only one option of inverted '?' in the selection list...

when the keyboard is in the number mode, select the 1st left button on the 2nd row of the keyboard, from the bottom.

Afraid I don't have the mini, so I am not able to answer your question.  I just downloaded the user guide to see if that helped, but it didn't have anything relevant to your question.

Are you able to use the on-screen keyboard on the Mini Pro?  If so, the only thing I can suggest is to try going to the numbers screen with that and play with it to see if the underscore appears somewhere there.  On the big X10, you cn often find slightly 'hidden' stuff by long-pressing on a character - for example, letters that are used in languages other than English but with accents or other diacritical marks can be found this way.  I don't suppose the underscore appears under the normal hyphen, does it...?  I don't know if that might also work on the physical keyboard on the Mini Pro, but it might be worth a try.

Sorry I am unable to suggest anythig else.  There must be an underscore somewhere on the Mini Pro, I'd have thought, so fiddling with it might be your best bet, unless someone else is able to give you a definitive answer.

Thank You, but I couldnot find any onscreen keyboard and my accessiblity is disabled? I am thinking if I have to train my voice command for this, and still I donno how successful wil i be......!!!!

If you meant the 'z' in number mode its not there... i tried all keys in number mode but i found only two keys and has symbolswhen pressed in numerical mode.... but there is a key foe sym/au...... i couldnt find out its use in of meebo, may be some other place it may b useful or there must/may be a trick to use them....

is there any manual for of shortcuts of all the customizations done by SE to android......

I knew I'd seen a thread before asking about symbols on the mini pro's, have a look at this one - there is a chap called andy if you scroll down and he changed something in the Locale and Text bit.  Don't know if it will help in any way, but you'd have thunk that there was a way to do an underscore.

But the mistake was I didnt check the default input and so the characters were disabled...

now its working fine...
