Unlocking bootloader

I have a Xperia SL which I have been trying to unlock its bootloader for a long tome.

I followed the instructions given on the sony's site, but the cmd prompt just stays at "Waiting for device" .

Its the lated OS ie, JB 4.1.2 .

Please help.
