Can I know how does the new software upadte affect the keyboard system? Few keys don't work as they used to,in the prebious version,if there is any problem please help me to solve it

I updated my phone but now my arrow down key doesn't work,i can't switch directly to the next line,how do i fix this?

What phone do you have and you upgraded from what software to what new software.

Well my problem got solved by changing the keyboard layout
I'm using xperia L and uograded it to jellybean 4.2.2
