Hi there , i recently purchased a w995 , and i must say , its a ace little phone.
Theres just a few things i could do with some help with..
Firstly...Everytime i unplug the charger , a message comes up reminding me to unplug it at the mains , its kinda annoying , any way of removing?
And secondly , i noticed that the phone can play movies , in ODF format? Theres a few movies on the playzone arena or something , but they only last for 90 days apparently?
How do you get your own movies onto the phone to watch? Every converter iv tried , doesnt convert to ODF.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
For the charger message you would have to patch the phone which voids the warranty so there is no way of removing it. For your videos convert them to ACC or MPEG4 and copy to the phone any you will be able to watch them.
Hi,
my iMac doesn't see the phone when I connect up. Media Sync. says it can't see my iPhoto. Please can anyone help as I need to download pics?
Cheers
use handbrake at http://handbrake.fr/
converts video to mp4
play around with the selection . 320x240 would be ok for me for W995
Enjoy
I have just updated my software and now have this message "unplug charger from socket" and it drives me up the wall
You cannot do anything to get rid of it, pressing call end or 'c' actually seems to make the message linger for longer!! What crazy design is that?
Very very annoying having to wait to turn an alarm off or open a text message if the phone has been on charge!
SE - PLEASE include an option to disable this message or at least give us the chance to make it clear faster I do not feel the need to read this twice a day for the remainder of my contract!
Yes, you can download these movies from the PlayNow website to your PC and then transfer them, as they are (in .odf--no format conversion needed for these), to your phone via USB cable. You can then watch them on your phone as long as your phone is registered for this service; if it isn't, then you need to ring SE and they will register your handset for the movie service. And you're right, there's a time limit on these movies, after which you can no longer watch them. You can't actually watch these movies on your PC, only on your phone. For other movies/videos, the best way to transfer them to the phone from PC is via the Media Go software which usually sorts out any format compatibility issues.
