Xperia SP email sync hanging

Hi

Have a new Xperia SP for about a week.

All ok but email sometimes hangs when I press the sync icon.

Left with constantly rotating sync symbol.  Over the week, has happened about five times.  Have to either stop the process in apps, or reboot the phone.

I use IMAP.

No problems on any other device where I sync the IMAP folders - eg old HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy tab.....

Any ideas?

Do you experience any hanging/freezing when using any other functions in the phone or just that one?

Only hangs with email sync

Ok, this will involve you having to setup your email account in the phone again but please try this:

Main Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Email > Clear Data.
