XPERIA U TOUCH SCREEN IS UNRESPONSIVE

I DO NOT KNOW WHY YOU PEOPLE ARE MAKING ME SUFFER LIKE THIS.

I HAVE SONY XPERIA U WHOOSE TOUCHSCREEN WENT UNRESPONSIVE WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. IT WAS REPAIRED BY SONY SERVICE CENTRE - TECHNOPLAZA , SALT LAKE , KOLKATA ( JULY 2013) BY CHANGING THE TOUCH PANEL. AGAIN IN JANUARY 2014 THE SAME PROBLEM OF UNRESPONSIVE TOUCHSCREEN IS REPEATING.  MY PHONE TOO IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY.  FURTHERMORE I DO NOT REMEMBER OF ANY WHEN I DROPPED OR PHYSICALLY DAMAGED THE PHONE. DO ADVISE ME A CHEAPER SOLUTION AS I AM IN NO MOOD TO SHELL MY HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT ANYMORE.

Welcome aboard friend.  I too had the same issue..

Xperia U was deffective (many of the breed) only option you have is to repair it and to sell it. I too faced the same issue twice and this foum will never help you ..

 please make aware your friends and anyone who is interested on buying SONY branded mobile

By the way i contacted sony at http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/ via email two days ago but they are so careless that haven't replied to my query yet. If they do not replying in 1 week, they will be getting an email of abuses from me. Did a huge mistake by trusting sony and buying their worthless products. I hope sony goes down in India. Will surely be spreading the message to everyone not to buy sony mobiles.

By the way Kavi1212 what is the total cost of replacement of the screen?

I bought digitizer from ebay  You could find many digitizer supplies there and they are original (Made in China )

try that search result,, buy from a top rated seller... And mate if you still have warranty, use that try to exchange the device for another one if you can...digitizer repalcing will solve the problem for some time and I think its a deffect on mother board or power controlling unit (Reason to happen over and over again)

Hope everything will go smooothly I can understand your state since I too faced the same situatuion (Twice with digitizer issue )
