Xperia Z1 mobile data doesnt connect

Hi Team,

i have a Sony Z1 which i bought a month ago in India and my mobile data doesnt connect properly. if i try to download the settings it says contact sonymobiles.com for proper settings. Looking for your help.

Try this

Go to Settings > More.. > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Choose the one that your network carrier provided and not the "SONY GPRS"(if you have that).

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines. 

You may also contact your network carrier and request that they supply the Manual internet settings, this is more likely a lack of correct settings.

Hi,

I tried selecting the service provider enabled GPRS settings, but no hope. I also tried manually configuring the APN settings and that works only for couple of weeks and later stops working. I tried downloading the GPRS setting by sending an SMS to the service provider and got a failure message saying mobile model not found. This leaves me not able to use Mobile data.

Hmm.

Pretty weird.Can you also upload a screenshot of available APN's at photoupload.com ?

This could possibly be the SIM card, I suggest trying to get a replacement SIM and see if the issue continues.

Are you sure that it could be the SIM problem. I bought this SIM card in Apr 2014 and was using it in Sony Xperia S without any issues with Mobile Data. Now i changed the mobile to Xperia Z1 and started facing this issue.

Hi,

I tried manually setting up the APN settings and clicked on 'save'. but after hitting save option it doesnt show up anything in the APN settings. Again i have to freshely enter everything and hit save. Voila, it doesnt show up yet...!!! Is it a bug with the OS i'm running with, currently i'm running with 4.4.4 path 14.4.A.0.157
