Notification light with Android 7.0 does not turn off when checking lock screen

On Android 6.0, notification light stopped blinking when lock screen was checked and then screen was turned off again (when pressing power button, read the notification and press power button again to turn off the screen). Now you have to unlock the screen and at least clear all notifications to turn off the notification light when the screen is turned off.

Does anybody know how set notification light in a way as it was working on Android 6.0: when checking the lock screen and turning of the screen, notification light should stop blinking?

In notifications settings you can either "fully" turn on the notification light or totally turn it off. There is no in between option.

Please can somebody tell me if it is normal for Android 7.0 that notification light keeps on blinking after I checked notification on the lock screen (just pressing power button twice to turn on and turn off screen)?

I already asked at the support but they probably did not even read the email and just send me some generic email on how to perform a repair of the software using Xperia Companion. They could at least tell me it the blinking of the notification light is normal or not for Android 7.0

Messaging, Lite Messenger for Facebook, Google Calendar.

So I guess this is not normal for Android 7.0? And maybe depends on the apps? For Lite Messenger there is just option to turn notifications off and on. Maybe it would help to reinstall it.
