Hi,
My google messages app cannot configure the chat features via RCS. It is stuck on: "Setting up... Trying to verify your phone numer..."
On my old phone worked fine with the same SIM card and on the same mobile network. Also I cannot find the RCS app in the app list to verify if it is disabled.
I tried:
- restart phone
- turn off wifi
- reset app
- reinstall app
Thank youi cannot add this screenshot also

- uninstall
- disable
- restart phone
- messages enable chat [here it worked]
- Then I enabled and update carier services. Now chat was not working again and the message was "setting up" .

It's not from Sony or from the 10 Plus. I've got the RCS on my 10 plus. It works fine. This from Google witch take the RCS. On the Xa2 of my wife it is the same status like you "setting up... The serveur of Google must verifies the phone number. My wife wait since 10 days...

From what I read is not encrypted.
On the other hand you seem to be able to send messages to others if their app is RCS capable.
Maybe consider Signal?

it really doesn't matter if it is encrypted because watsapp is encrypted and is no difference in sending or receiving stickers.
The mobile service works normal but i couldn't find the RCS in all system aps.
Last night I get an xperia update for sidebar and it seems that it can't open Multiwindows because I use Microsoft Launcher. otherwise the normal multi windows access works normal.
I just hoped that if i chose a brand phone, the android won't be such a buggy beta feeling.
Thank You!
