5 II bluetooth headset and microphone issues, only outgoing calls

Hi there,

got a 5 II a week ago as an amazon warehouse offer, then installed about ten major updates, running version 58.1.A.5.507 now.
On outgoing calls via bluetooth headsets using the preinstalled google phone app the called party can barely hear me, only about 10% of those calls sound normal. Incoming calls, WhatsApp calls calls using the built-in mic work fine, the headsets work properly with other phones.
What I tried: different sim cards/providers, wifi calling, different headsets, network reset, factory reset, all kinda different developers settings regarding bt. Nothing helped.

Any suggestions? Anyone facing the same problem?

Does this issue happen when you make or receive calls without any BT headsets ?

No, incoming and outgoing calls without bluetooth headsets are alright.

This could be a compatibility issue between the BT headset and the phone.

Did you try to test another headset with the phone?

Yes, four headsets from three different manufacturers.

Try to reset the connection and troubleshoot the Bluetooth app like clearing cache and data and force stop.

 

If that didn't work, try the software repair by the Xperia Companion as the last option and check again.
