A95K 65 Camera not working

Preordered A65K TV and from day one the Camera (CMU-BC1M), never worked.

I gave it a bit to see if an update but never happened, so I emailed support and I was told they were already aware of the issue and would email as soon as they found an solution. But almost 2 months on the camera still doesn't work and I've heard nothing from Sony. But to release this TV fully aware part was faulty is bad enough but to nothing about it is just disgusting, I've checked and found this issue in America but not much else. I'm sure everyone who bought this TV is having the same problem.

Hi @Pete7043 On my XR-55A95K I didn’t even bother unpacking the camera. It is just another unnecessary gimmick. I bought the TV to watch a fantastic picture and I am not disappointed.

The camera functionality was locked, but was supplied with the tv. With the latest TV update, the camera's use is now possible with many ways to use it. Google meet so you can video call family and friends. It can also be used to auto adjust screen brightness, and Dolby Audio. It is a great accessory and worth trying out.
