I've been prompted to register my Sony product but I can't do it. It recognises my product code (KD65 XG8796) but won't let me past the questions about the purchase. It was purchased in November, 2019 - is this why? I've tried to do this on an Android tablet and a Windows Laptop. I am computer literate so I don't believe its user error.

Most likely you did not enter the product name correctly.
Try with: KD-65XG8796

That's worked thanks Peter. I had entered the product code the way it appears on the receipt, but your format, without the space, worked a treat.
