I have a Zgemma H2S satellite box connected to my KD-43XD8305 via HDMI1.
I have the TV button on the sony remote set to the satellite box.
HDMI CEC is enabled on the Zgemma box, and with the Sony remote i can control "almost" everything on the Zgemma, but not everything.
the GUIDE button correctly loads the guide on the zgemma box.
the PROG UP and DOWN buttons correctly change channel up and down.
ARROW and OK buttons correctly function as they should on the zgemma box.
Zgemma box turns ON and OFF when the TV turns on and off.
the RED, GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE buttons all operate the Zgemma box correctly.
all good so far.
However.... the number buttons do not control the Zgemma box.
When I press any number button, it controls the inbuilt digital TV inputs and not the Zgemma box.
any ideas what I need to do to get the number buttons to control the Zgemma box?

settings > external inputs > bravia sync settings > device control keys.
it was set to "normal", i changed it to "tuning keys", and it now works.

Hi there
What you are descibing is normal operation in afraid. HDMI-CEC is based on a 'loose' set of standards where as each manufacturer will implement slightly differently. Also not all functions will be compatible with all devices either.
I have a MED1000X3D Media Player connected to my TV (via AV Receiver) and if I press the number buttons on the remote supplied, it will jump a certain percentage in the movie im playing (i.e. 1=10%, 2=20% etc). However pressing the number buttons on the TV Remote control will switch to that TV Channel instead.
Having said all that though, I am reasonably confident that it used to work and might be related to this bug/issue HERE.
The only thing I can suggest is to use the IR Blaster - which I believe comes with your model TV. See instructions:

the only issue i need to solve now is that the remote for the Zgemma box has a PREV and NEXT button, but the Sony remote doesn't.
so i need to work out how to replicate the functions of those two buttons on the sony remote!

Hi.. I'm trying to get my zgemma box to work but I'm not finding zgemma, star or airdigital to appear in the devices search. How did you manage this?
