For those who paid Euro 7.99 and need to watch their movies
Open ES file Explorer
Go to / Device
Go to System (Open folder)
Go to app (open folder)
Find netflix-ninja-release.apk
Select to execute
Select Install
If a message says you cannot install go to Allow Uknown sources and select On
This will give you a message of Update for Netflix.
Just do it and installation will start.
Then everything will work again.

Done that, no parental control, cache cleared. Still a spinning circle.

Hi there
Sony has just released a support doc, they are now advising in disabling BT Protect too:
https://sony-eur-eu-en-web--eur.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/131513/kw/
A concern i have is that they are advising a factory reset of the router too if it doesnt resolve it.
But if you've only just turned parental controls and the bt protect, might be best to wait a few hours as suggested.
Cheers

I have the same issue, I have tried resetting router (BT Home Hub 5) and also restarted TV many times.
I have now disabled BT Protect / Family Protection but still no joy.
Any other ideas?
There was a suggestion to factory reset the TV, but I cannot find the option. All I see is 'Initial Setup' - is this the same ?
TV model: KDL-43W807C
I have the latest firmware, although the issue started before I applied it.

Try this. Might work for you:
- Install ES File Explorer app
- Open ES File Explorer
- Go to / Device
- Go to System (Open folder)
- Go to app (open folder)
- Find netflix-ninja-release.apk
- Select to execute
- Select Install
If a message says you cannot install go to Allow Uknown sources and select On
This will give you a message of Update for Netflix.
Just do it and Installation/Update will start.

Did you first clear :
- Settings-Apps-System app-Enjoy Netflix more anytime, cache and data.
- Settings-Apps-System app-Netflix, cache and data
and then do both procedures?
Another option is to download Netfix app:
and install this again using ES File Explorer from a flash drive.
I don't know if this works but you can give a try.
You can also do a "forget" to your wifi connection with your router and create it again. I don't understand why Sony focuses issue on BT routers.
Or.. do a factory reset:smileyalert:

The following things have not worked:
- turning off BT Protect / Family Protection
- installing netflix-for-ninja.apk on /System/apps/
- resetting and clearing cache for Netflix app (although I have not tried that since installing the ninja version)
I will try next: doing a Factory Reset (now that I have the procedure - thanks!)
I am a bit wary about using a very different version of the netflix app downloaded from a mirror and side-loading onto the TV. I am hoping that BT / Sony / Netflix can sort this out without introducing any additional hack.
Thanks for the suggestions.
