Bluetooth headset doesn't work in downloaded apps

Just Bought a C5 Xperia and got update 5.1 lolipop, 2 days ago bought MBH20 to go with my C5, Using it its on phone calls is fine, but when I use it on Whatsup voice call it stop working, BBM voice call, Line same problem, I do not know it is the Bluetooth incompebility or something, I tried on my friends Sony Z3, it just works fine with voice call on whats up.

Did repairing the Software, but no help, I do not know whats wrong with it, anybody has the same problem? or any setting should I know about?

Just got new update from Sony firmwareupdate, the 3 code back is 101, and I just tested with my Sony Bluetooth, finaly it work hahaha, Thank you very much now I can call Internet voice call with my bkuetooth using Sony c5, thanks

are those 3rd party apps updated to the latest versions? also try to delete app data settings> apps> all apps> clear data.

also try to re connect /re -pair your bluetooth to the accesory./

No its files from Sony itself. Tried reinstall update frimware from Sony. Still has the same problem. Maybe my hads are not for Sony phone always has problem wherever I buy Sony phone....hmmm

One more thing I tried bbm voice and also same resukt, line also the same. Is this hardware problem or sowtware?

whatsapp, line, bbm are not Sony apps. For what you described is that those apps have not been customized to work on the C5, a way to test this, try to make a voice call or video call on hangouts if it doesn't work then 

boot on > > > safe mode try to make a voice/video call with hangouts, if it works then it could be that either a third party app its causing this

So here is the deal, Bluetooth works with two protocols: media (A2DP) and telephony (handsfree and headset).

Try this, connect your Bluetooth device, go in settings, Bluetooth and verify settings: You should enable both telephony and media.

Check if it works.

Did that way before, if the phone is incopitable than its fine by me. I can sell the phone and get a new one, but I will be sick if I am the only one has the problem, especialy in Indonesia service center is bad, service can g up to months, why I ask in this forum because I want to know is it only my phone has problem. And of course I like the phone but it seems has problem everytime than I am afraid to buy the same brand.

Hello,

So I just connected my stereo-non-sony bluetooth headset to the C5 ultra and tried a Whatsapp call with it and it worked.

Long story short, it could be a Lollipop 5.0/5.1 (not 5.1.1) issue/limit with setting and this make all the bluetooth devices NOT REALLY compatible with all protocols. You said it that you tried it with a Z3 and it worked, was it with Lollipop 5.1.1? I bet yes. 

... or it could be that your headset is not fully compatible with the profiles available in the C5. You should try other bluetooth headsets to see if it works or not but I am almost sure that an update to Lollipop 5.1.1 (it's not going to happen) and to Android 6.0 will fix the incompatibility issue.

Probebly that the Android isue then, I will try on other bluetooth a non sony one? but that would be funny right bought the same brand so that it is compitable...but then again...:smileysilly::smileyangry:

Hai, its me again, tried my friend mono bluetooth from other brand, then bought a sterio blustooth China brand, its still the sama, voice call on whats up still did not work.....
