Brightness out of control

my c5 turns dark,..the brigthness is is out of control..even it is set to a higher range it does not change

Welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear this. Do you have adaptive brightness turned on? If so I recommend that you try and turn that off. You can do that if you go to: Settings > Display > Adaptive brightness > Off. Then try to changed the brightness level manually. To do so, go to: Settings > Brightness level

If the brightness still doesn't change I recommend that you try and reboot your device to safe mode to see if this behavior is caused by one of your downloaded apps as these will be temporarily disabled in this mode.
