For who read my previous thread about the sudden death of the C5 will be interested to know that to fix various issues I ended up doing a software repair which, of course and sadly, installed marshmallow.
After two subsequential software repairs the device runs pretty well however two issues are not going away and driving me crazy.
Spare the question about safe mode because I did check in safe mode...
Here are the issues: bad wifi and Bluetooth. It disconnect every now and them if there is any Internet or Bluetooth activity.
If wifi dies, Bluetooth is the next to die, if Bluetooth dies same happen to the wifi.
This time is not related to 5ghz and 2.5ghz band, it's a probable buffer overflow becasue the way present itself is a typical bottleneck and then crash of the stacks.
So, I don't know. What's the opinion of the pros? I believe that it's software, not hardware... But you, what do you think?

Ciao YoGem,
what you mean by software reset?
Something like this?
To soft reset your phone press and hold the Power/Lock button for around 8 to 10 seconds. The phone will restart automatically.
If that doesn’t work, then remove the battery (if it has one). Wait 30 seconds and put the battery back in. Then press the Power/Lock button to turn the phone on.
Thanks,
guido
Ciao YoGem,
i followed all your instructions...you were absolutely right, the C5 now runs as ever!
No more BT disconnections and Wifi seems more stable.
You should make an official post as a solution to all the problems around.
Grazie 1000
Firstly, let me open by saying 2 things. Everything in my house and portable is Sony. There is not a room you can walk in and find something from your company. I am a committed Xperia owner and have a C5Ultra Dual. I also use a Sony Smartwatch 3 and a Sony SBH50 Headset. So lets get into it…..
As an owner of an IT company that’s specialises in mission critical systems (banking) I am stunned by the suboptimal level of QA you guys are doing on your device upgrades. Let me explain.
I have just one week ago, accepted an upgrade for my phone from Lollipop to Marshmallow and here is not was has happened.
So my overall experience here is you guys have not done proper regression testing, which when you think how important the phone is to people in their day to day lives, in my opinion, you have significantly failed your users. I am very happy to stand corrected. I have reloaded software, apps, carrier settings, etc, etc. All to no avail. I have even jammed my SD card with 90 GB of photos (as per blog) to trick phone into only seeing less than 32GB (an no the SD card is not formatted as NTFS).
Finally, I am not expecting you can do much, but I strongly counsel you to publish a patch asap to fix Bluetooth issues and the SD card “shocker” because that 2nd one is an Epic fail and there is no point trying to blame Google for that. You guys could put the feature back in under storage in system settings.
I leave you with thoughts and hope you can advise on when you will patch the OS and driver. Signed a very underwhelmed loyal Sony customer.
Agree with every single word you wrote.
Simply unaccettable from a company like Sony, abandon its loyal custumers with such problems.
We will all move to another brand soon...
Like you, I am seriously frustrated.
Had dinner with a friend on Saturday night, explained my woes, he has bought IPhone 7 today.
Its just appalling. How can this happen #Sony
My latest issue now is the Xperia Companion no longer works, so I cannot even back the thing up !
I actually don't know so I am posting it here. I recently applied "retro pop art" theme to my Xperia C5 ultra dual, Android version MM. The theme works nicely but when I open WhatsApp the navigation buttons turns back to original ones i.e. triangle, pentagon and square. And when I open a chat in WhatsApp the navigation bar buttons turns back as provided by the theme.
