sony xperia c5 ultra camera button not working

I bougth a new sony xperia c5 ultra dual. The camera button just below thevolume button on the left is not working. In is neither launchhing the camera app directly, NOR IS IT CLICKING PICTURES WHEN PRESSED. i presse it soft, i pressed it hard, but to no avail. the camera flash can also be seen, but the potograph is not clicked no matter ow long I keep pressing it. Please help

even tried "settings-apps-all-camera,force stop and clear data. Restart and check"...to no avail

So it works when you half press? Does it focus?

it does focusdoes everything except clicking the photographhh...everything seems fine wen I capture by toucing the screen...but its not capturing when i press the button...even half press is not working.

In this case,you shoould contact your Local support and have it checked.

in standby mode or on homescreen, pressing the button without releasing it will open up the camera mode. 

In camera mode, pressing the button without releasing, it will focus and pressing it harder until the clicking sound it will capture.

If it doesn't work, take it back to Sony..

i have aslo same problem .The camera button  is not working. when i press hard then the button is work, athorviz its not working...

i also restart the mobile..

please help

Actually it will work, but camery key given in C5 is not so sensitive. For taking photo, we should first press camery key(then it focus) and then leave fraction of second and press once again, then it will capture. We can also do this in camera icon that comes when we open the camera, even there we can focus for long press and leave a fractionth second and then press again for photo capture.

And instead of pressing to focus choose M mode for manual focus and it will work from the first long
