Xperia C Won't Charge when turned On

Hi! 

My phone (Xperia C) is almost a month old. Last night, it was low battery so I decided to charge it but it wont charge at all. It does not recognize the charger, be it from the wall socket or PC. 

However, it charges when I turned it off. So now, the only way for me to charge it is to turn it off.

any idea why it is like this? how can i charge again while it is on? help pls.

Boot the phone in safe mode:

Try to charge it like that.

It did charge already from the wall socket. do this mean that i have to turn on safe mode everytime i want to charge?

No,how is it in normal mode now?

It charges from the wall socket now and the PC can recognize it already.

however, battery dies so fast from 30% to 0%. help again?

Hi!

I already downloaded the latest updates and tried software repair as well. It seems that my phone still encounters the same problem. Rebooting to safe mode allowed me to charge while the phone is open. However, once I tried it again it wont charge. 

Now, I turn off my phone just so I could charge it. I would try the software repair again.

I have the same problem.

My phone (Xperia C5) charges only when off.

Software repair didn't work, and safe mode also didn't.
