Can the HX60 send a live display to a field monitor along an HDMI cable?

Can someone please tell me whether the Sony DSC HX60 camera will work with a field monitor connected to its HDMI output port. In particular I would really like to know

1) what exactly the camera can output along an HDMI cable for live display on a field monitor - e.g. just the info that's coming into its lens, or everything that's shown on its LCD screen including the HUD information?

2) whether it can send to a field monitor BOTH when it is recording AND when it is switched on but not recording

Note: I have not got a TV set or a smartphone and so I cannot check by connecting the camera to one of these devices. I would like to buy a field monitor but first I need to know whether this camera can actually send a live display to a field monitor or not.

Hi djones123,

I think it should work as it works when connected to a TV, It will output almost everything that appears on the screen of the camera including the menu and the shooting settings.
