I'm really desperate here! I've got a DSC-HX1 camera and about yesterday I've got a problem. Everything works ok but I can't take pictures because everything is black (it's not a LCD problem). Despite that everything is fine. Then I looked in the lens and I noticed that a tiny hole in there (probably shutter or aperture) is closed! I tried everything, even disassembled it to clean in there but I still can't fix it. I even tried to manualy control it with the manual mode and it creaks. Any ideas? Please, I really need your help.
Hi Kolyaisan,
welcome to the Sony User Community Forum..
That doesn't sound good I think your best option would be to contact Sony support as I suspect your HX1 may need a repair..
The same problem appeared on my DSC-HX1 camera. With some hardware hack, you can fix the problem:

This is written in hungarian, but the key is to change one little resistor on the main board. Replace R444 resistor by a 12kOhm. Good luck!
