RX10 M4

The zoom on my RX10 M4 kept fully extending when I turn off the camera. This happened repeatedly. Tried a full reinitialising but problem continued. Left the camera overnight and the camera has returned to the properly close down position and the fault seems to have corrected itself.

Any explanations and advice?
