Xperia E1 - Cannot unlock bootloader
Alright, so I'd like to unlock the bootloader of my device. I typed in my IMEI number on the SONY webpage correctly, got the unlock code. However, when I execute the command 'fastboot -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xCODEHERE' I get FAILED: Command did not succeed. I tried multiple times. Can someone please help me unlock it? I'd like to experiment with CyanogenMod and CWM.

Have you checked if the bootloader in your phone can be unlocked? If your phone was sold locked or branded for an operator it may not be possible to unlock it.
To see if it can be unlocked:
In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, it can be unlocked. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

Yes, I am aware of what I'll lose (the E1 actually has no DRM keys so nothing to worry about, actually)
Here's a screenshot of my service menu:

If you are sure that you're entering the correct code, try to remove and reinsert the battery before you connect it in fastboot mode and see if that helps. Other than that i'm not sure what could cause it. Perhaps you could try on another computer?

I have taken out the battery for 20 seconds, put it back in, try the same thing, with both fastboot and Flashtool, and the same error. I also tried on my laptop, same results (drivers are installed)
Could it be that my carrier made the bootloader not unlockable? Why does the service menu state that the bootloader unlock is allowed? Could it be Android specific? (the device came with the Orange SK 4,3 and I updated it and there's no way to get it back to the original version)

I have the exactly same problem, but I could unlock the bootloader once, the first time, now always says this:
30/014/2015 15:14:41 - INFO - Unlocking phone using key ---------------------
30/014/2015 15:14:41 - INFO - ...
30/014/2015 15:14:41 - INFO - FAILED (remote: Command did not succeed)
30/014/2015 15:14:41 - INFO - finished. total time: 0.160s
Also, I have the bootloader unlockable too, I'd love to be able to use ROMs in my XPeria E1.
Greetings.

Check whether your device bootloader is unlockable or not –
- In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#*
- Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can unlock the device boot loader. If it says No, or if the status is missing, sorry but your device cannot be unlocked.
