Just got a Sony HT-CT790 soundbar and I'm happy with it save for one minor issue.
With HDMI-CEC and ARC active if you go to the HDMI input the CT790 is plugged into, it auto activates the soundbars built in Home screen menu and defaults to the USB input.
Now I have seen this on more than one TV, Philips and LG so I suspect Sony engineers were being helpful, with CEC active bring up the home screen so TV CEC remote users can control the soundbar.
But this can get in the way if you just want it to default to the HDMI input on the soundbar or if your a Logitech Harmony user (like I am) were you want to automate the power on process. Turning off CEC is not always an option as in some cases ARC requires CEC.
So is there any remote chance a user selectable toggle could be added for auto activating the home screen via CEC with the default being on but at least give us an off option.
I know its unlikely but if anyone from Sony is reading this it would be great if you could pass this on to the engineering team, thanks.

Hi redstars222,
Welcome to our community!
I haven't found similar issues with this soundbar before. Could you make sure your soundbar is running the latest firmware version? You'll find details on how to install it on this link.
Let us know if updating it resolved the issue.
