TA-AN1000, mix of wired and wireless speakers

Hej. I bought a new TA-AN1000. I want to keep my satisfying, wired speakers in the front (3 plus sub), and then buy new wireless Sony SA-RS5 with the upfire feature as back surround. Is that possible in an somehow easy way? How? Thanks

I have a similar situation as Manfred53DK. Just bought the TA-AN1000 and have existing wired in-wall and in-ceiling speakers set up as in  a 5.1 configuration, where the surround-speakers are in-ceiling positioned approximately above the listening position. Is it possible to complement the system with two SA-RS5 (or SA-RS3S) to get a 7.1.2 system? The idea would be to use the SA-RS5  (or SA-RS3S) speakers as wireless rear surround (on-wall) speakers and the wired in-ceiling speakers as height/atmos speakers.

To put is short: Is the TA-AN1000 capable of combining five wired speakers with two wireless speakers?

I have the exact same question that I am failing to find the answer to.  I have an existing 5.1 wired setup now all connected to the AN1000 and I want to add something like the Sony SA-RS5 to give me 7.2 for Dolby.  If anyone has the answer to this it would be greatly appreciated.

@Paul99  The SA-RS5 should be able to work with the TA-AN1000 as it's one of the compatible models

Exactly what I wanted to do but unfortunately it doesnt work.

The wireless speakers become the surround AND height speakers, so are taking up all available 7 channels when you add the 3 front/centre speakers.

just to clarify my previous reply....in Manfred's case it would work as he only has 3 existing speakers and a subwoofer so the wireless speakers have 4 channels available on the an-1000 to become the rear AND height speakers.

I have this as my setup now and it works perfectly.

However if you already have a 5:1 setup then the wireless speakers will take the surround and height channels and your existing rear surround speakers will not be supported.
