C905 not starting up

hi, i have a c905 which turns on, displays the sony ericsson screen, then it should display the normal mode/flight mode option, but it doesn't, it just flickers and goes black. the back light stays on and the screen randomly flickers. is there a solution to this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Try updating or re-installing the software using the SE update service on your PC.The phone has to be switched off for this process.
