Solved! Go to Solution.
So what exactly happens when you try and play the Walkman?
Hi,
thans for your message,
i can find the music on the card, when the card is in the phone.
but the music is not in the walkman part of the phone.
does the music automatically go to the walkman or do i have transfer it, if so how would i do it.?
i also spoke to someone today that said the music files have to be in an mp3 format, i'm sure that prior to transfering the music files from the computer to the card that the files said wma or something like that.
i hope i've described things ok.

So can you actually play the music tracks in the phone as they are at the moment?
Hi,
no, i'm unable to play tracks.

Then you need to download an audio file format converter such as Switch to your PC, use it to convert the .wma tracks to .mp3 or other compatible for your phone format, transfer them to the phone and then you should be able to play them in both the file manager and the Walkman.
Hi,
i've downloaded a converter and converted from wma to mp3,
then put the music on the card and put the card in the phone,
but i'm still stuck on how to get the music on to the walkman part of the phone,
can you help please.

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/642/512/1245755453/W205__UG_EN_1224_6945_1.pdf The music tracks should be under My music from the Options in the Walkman. However, if they're not, you can create playlists in the Walkman from the tracks in the File manager: see pages 23-4 of the phone's manual from the above link on how to do this.
