Bug in power management

I think I have found a bug in VAIO power management. I have a VGN-A195EP.

I always fix my VAIO to 600Mhz (Battery Life profile). This makes it heat much less and I don't need more power.

The problem is that I rarely turn off my laptop, I prefer to make it hibernate. When I make it recover from hibernation, the VAIO Power Management says it is in the "Battery Life" profile, but it is not. The computer acts as if it was in "Adaptive".

This happens every time it hibernates and I have to change it back to Battery Life always.

Does this happen to someone else?

Same problem here.

I think this is because of WinXP. I didn't find any solution. 😞

I don't think it is in WinXP. It could be in Sony software. Maybe if I send a ticket to VAIO support they can fix it.
