connecting vcr

Hi all!

I've just taken delivery of a Vaio VGN- A397XP.

One of the rteasons I chose it was because I wanted to copy all my VCR tapes to DVD and, I understood that using the Port replicator, I could input from a standard VCR.

However, I cannot seem to get the Vaio to recognise any video input from the VCR although audio channels are working fine.

I am using an S-Video cable from the VCR to th Vaio port replicator.

Help!!! What are we doing wrong????

Nigel

What software do you recommend?

The problem seems to be that the system doesn't recognise the video device.

What do you means the system dont recognise the device?.. try using click DVD as kee-lo suggest and see if the software recognise the video device
