If it's 2 weeks old you have time to take it to the retailler.
They should replace it or contact VAIO-Link for you

Consider yourself lucky - They usually die just out of warranty (Well most GRX's did anyway)

Same here, a A417M. Monday it was working great and now it refuses to power up. No indicator lights at all - not good. Managed to last 3.5 months though.

Hi,

I have a TR5MP which I bought in 2004. It was working yesterday, and then after I shut it down it refuses to power up again. With the mains plugged in, the battery charging LED isn't flashing either - which makes me think it's a fuse or something inside the unit. Does anyone have any tips on how one might try to figure out and fix summat like this?

If you guys have upgraded the memory, then remove the upgrade chip and try again.....it should work now.....mine did!

Same problem with a A397XP. And it's for professional usage! Lost all my emails... Still under warranty for 4 monthes. Sony e-support said to me that this is the motherboard.
