I have just arrived in the UAE and my laptop will not power up. After taking off the top cover where the speakers are I have found by moving the ribbon type cable connecting the motherboard to the connector by the power up button that it starts, sometimes. When it does start all runs well except the sound. I suspect the ribbon cable to be faulty as the end going into the connector by the power button is very ragged.
Please tell me where I can get a new one urgently.
