External hard drive storage required.
Can anyone help me?
I own a Vaio PCG-Z1RMP and have managed to fill the hard drive to a capcity that makes snail pace look fast with it operation now.
Not wanting the constant hastle that come with CD backup please can anyone tell me of a suitable External Hard drive storage facility that is compact (suitable for travel) and with bluetooth connection. And if it comes with a TV out connection even better.
Any help is gratefully appreciated.
Ps. any idea of where any such products are availble cheaply in Oz?
Cheers
Braza

If you want portability the get a laptop (2.5 inch) hard disk and put it in either a USB or firewire enclosure.
I am not suggesting that they do not exist but I personally have not seen a bluetooth external hard drive.
As for TV out?

A bluetooth hard drive would be incredibly slow. I suppose one of the Archos range of multimedia thingies would do most of the things you want.

Hi
I suggest an USB2 external 2.5" Drive. Fire wire is a bit faster but needs an external power supply or at least a second cable because the 4 pin fire wire connector on the laptob does not deliver power.
But be carefull with the drive you select. I had an 80G drive, which needed just a bit more power than the USB would deliver. So i still had to use an external power supply. I than swapped the internal 60G drive of the Vaio with the 80G drive in the external case. Works perfect.
