harddrive not 80 gigs

ok it says the hard drive 80 gigs but i have c drive has 18.6 gigs and d has 48.9 gig . i know sony take up some space ..but not 11 gigs worth . any ideas of getting all the space back or some of it ...thanks

Yes I too noticed this when I got my Vaio, it states 80 gig hard drive but only appears to have 70 gig. This is however how much of the hard drive is partitioned off for the recovery section (well however much it is after the drive was initially formatted say 9 gig). I think you can recover this section of the hardrive if you so wish but I am not sure how.:smileyhappy:
