I have a VGN-S2XP and according to my spec sheet it has bluetooth capabilites. When I turn it on the bluetooth led lights up but once I logon it goes off. If I look at Bluetooth Devices, there is nothing listed

What am I doing wrong. I would like to get it working to download some pics from my mobile

Not sure but don't you have to activate Bluespace first?

First turn on the wireless switch on the front of your notebook ¿ the switch wireless devices dialog box should appear. Select the Bluetooth option and click OK.
Otherwise right click on the wireless icon in the system tray and select main dialog box.
Also the discoverability button in the XP Bluetooth Devices Control Panel won't be able to be switched on if you haven't first activated it in the Vaio Control Centre - the Vaio Control Centre icon can be found if you switch to "Classic View" once you're in the Control Panel.

There is no bluespace or the likes for the S2XP. Only a driver for use with WindowsXP SP2 is provided.

There should be a wireless-config icon in your icon tray. With it, you can enable/disable both WiFi as bluetooth. Make sure bluetooth is on.

HI

If I switch the wireless switch to on it automatically connects to my router, I dont get any "switch wireless device" window at all.

Also what does the wireless config icon look lie? I cannot see anything likely looking in the taskbar at the bottom right corner - is the correct place to find it

thanks
