i have VAIO VGN-FJ1S and i have a problem with the CPU.
the CPU is 1.72 GHZ right now but it gives only 750 or sometimes 800 MHZ.. why? and how can change it to the max.speed of the CPU? help plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This might be the caused by your energy management settings. Standard your cpu-speed will be lowerd when working on battery. You can change it in your settings menu.

Hi I also need your help carthorian. I bought the same pc. I want to ask if your pc makes a sound when you switch it on? it sound like a computer games i cant really describe. Is that normal? do u know how to get rid of it?

This is due to variable CPU speed changes to make battery life better. It's normal
