Incorrect menu display

Has anybody any idea why I am getting an odd menu display? The background of the menu item (File, Edit, View etc) is white when it should match the surrounding grey. I'm guessing at a video driver issue?

This problem manifests with Acrobat Reader but not with any Microsoft products.

I'm using a VGN-S2XP and believe that I have installed all available updates.

Right click your desktop and go to properties
Then click on appearances and check you have Windows XP Style

Yep - have Windows XP Style for windows and buttons.

Any other thoughts?

Have you tried something like "Style XP"? After the deinsallation it deleted the Windows theme an shell. All works perfect, unless the screen was totally black.

Restorepoint and Systemrecovery (from Windows CD) was useless. :smileyfrustrated:

No, not tried Style XP.

I would initially try uninstalling, re-downloading, then reinstalling Acrobat reader from Adobes website.
