Ive lost my memory stick icon ?

Hi

Ive lost my memory stick icon and its been replaced with just a removable disk icon , How do I get it back please ? I have an image of my setup when it was there ?

Go to Device Manager (Right click my computer, properties, and go to hardware tab). Uninstall the MS, and restart the PC. This will re-recognise the drive and hopefully work again.

If the memory stick reader is working OK then I would just ignore the changed icon. I have read a lot of posts from people who have altered their setup and have had problems getting the MS drive recognised again.

The icon is just cosmetic - it's not even particularly nice

If you really really want the Icon back then save a restore point before trying Kee-Lo's solution. At least if it isn't redetected then you should be able to go back to the setup you now have.

I took your advice & deleted it in Device manager and now its mended !!!!!
