Making partition on vaio pocket ?

I've a new PC since few days, but without a floppy disk. I need it to launch Grub or LiLo (boot loaders) without writing them on the MBR of my hard disk, and now i have learn that they can be installed on a partition of a usb key, or external hard disk, then can i make my vaio pocket (VGF-AP1L) be partitionned to install a linux boot loader without damaging it ?
Is there anyboby which have doing that ?
