Hey.
I just bought a new VAIO 20GB and it seems to work fine if I'm really understanding and really kind to it. It's got the new firmware on it.
The problem is that when I've pressed stop to stop the music playing, left it for a couple of hours, and then pressed play again (this may involve the vaio automatically switching back on) the little four square icon in the top right of the screen and starts spinning (hard disk activity icon i think) and just stays like that....a few seconds later, the buttons work and the selection buttons are shown on screen, but the vaio does not carry out the actions. Then the screen freezes totally, and there is NO activity on screen. Finally, I try to turn the power off in the normal way (the slider at the top) and it goes to "switching power off..." and hangs again.
On the original occasion I left it for 2 hours, and then had to look at troubleshooting and undo a paper clip (sony, i expect you to replace that paper clip by nexyday courier:smileydevil: ) to reset it, and then go through all the usual setup.
This has happened twice in the 3 days i've had the player. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening, or is there anyone else had the same problem?
