Hi newsgroup
On behalf of my client I would like to know whether there are drivers for the Sony PCG-FX804-9G-2M for Windows 98 (built-in modem, video, audio). He needs to run this OS due to other very specific software that requires this version of Windows. On the official download area I only find software for W2K and WXP.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Kind regards
Is there nothing natively available on the Windows 98SE disk?
If not, try using the Standard Modem (33600bps) driver or its equivalent.
If you need a specific driver, then a Google search may give you some answers.
VAIO-Link only provide W2k and XP drivers.
Microsoft ended it's support for Windows 98 this year, so I guess Sony have decided not to support it either.
I'm sure I remeber drivers being on the VAIO Link....
Doesn't he have the original CD stashed away somewhere? As James said I would have thought that the generic MS drivers are going to be your best bet. Or if you can find out who manufactured the parts (Often it's not Sony) then try the companies websites, they often keep older drivers around. Unless he needs a very specific function of the components generic drivers I'm sure will be fine.
He should have the CD Tyger................
