Hi every one,
My notebook doesn't work due to a failed bios update.
Now I found the way to re-flash the bios by a programming board, but I need the binary file. On website there's a .exe giving the files allowing to generate the disk for the bios update when the notebook works. A platform.bin and a CHRISBOOT.bin are present. Which is the right one? If none of them, does someone can give me the right .bin file for the re-flash of my model (PCG-FX101)?
thank you
I have no idea but I am sure VAIO-Link would help you out.
I'm sure they would, and if you can recover from a failed BIOS update then kudos to you.
probably not much help,
my bios update exe, when expanded creates a subdirectory with both of the .bin files (among others), both appear to be used by the update facility from the bootable floppy.
Yeah I would suspect they both get used.
