PCV RX403N MINIDISC PROBLEM, CAN YOU HELP PLEASE?

Hi i have a probelm with my machine. Until recently I was able to load a minidisc into the slot and read information from it. Now all I get is a message to 'insert disc', even though one is in the slot. I have tried several discs but get the same message. it seems that the drive is not being recognised. Can anyone advise please?

Never seen a PC with built-in MiniDisc function so cannot help here ...

REALLY! Wish I had known that at the time - we had stacks of MDs for our music colleagues and would have had one if we had known.

I nearly had to buy it, as my GRX316MP was out of stock, but thanks to Watford Electronics, they had it!
