Hello,
I've bought a vaio FS315E, and since the beginning, it's incredibly slow..
It takes approximatly 4 to 5 minutes to boot, when I listen to a MP3, I always have interferences. it seems to have difficulties to read this one, I hear like scratches.
it's the same for divx, there is always some short "freezing" in the pictures and same problem with the sound.
I use foobar for music player and vlcmediaplayer for the videos.
Could someone help me ?
Sorry for my bad english.
Goodbye !
Sounds like you need to scan for adware and spyware
Spybot and Ad Aware being my favourites.
Also make sure you remove unwanted start up items
Hello,
There are no stuff like that, and it's since the very beginning, it always took so long for booting, and I've always heard this sound problem every time, even on the startup of windows...
Do you think I'va to use the guarantee ?
still sorry for my bad english..
Goodbye !
Sounds to me you have a windows fault, I would try a full reinstalation.
Regards Frank.
You'd be suprised how much Spyware sony have on from reinstall
I've removed the spywares with adaware and spybot, it goes a bit faster, but I still have this sound problem..
It's very annoying. It seems to appear while playing a movie or some music, every time the little orange light switches on rapidly... (the drive led.. I can't find the name .. hope you see what I mean:smileywink: )
I really think I'll use my guarantee...
Goodbye
Have you checked for new sound card drivers on vaio-link.com ?
Best thing to do...Get a Windows XP CD from a friend and install it with your CD key written on the Sticker of the bottom of your vaio. Then download the drivers from the homepages of the manufactors of the parts.

This are the drivers for my VGN-FS285H.
But I think they will work on your notebook too. One note...You will find the LAN driver under Desktop Adapters on the Intel page. Dont know why Sony integrates a desktop adapter but who cares. its working.
If this reinstallation dowsnt help, there might be a problem with your hardware. Remember...when your notebook is not attached to the power supply the CPU will decrease the speed. My Vaio runs on about 700 Mhz without power supply. Uninstalling Norton IS will boost your System much too.
Hope i could help and sry for this awful englisch ;).
ok, I'll try some ideas here..
the norton stuffs are already gone since a time
I hope it will work better
Goodbye !
