Problems with cd/dvd drive in fe11h notebook

Hi
my dvd/cd drive burns and reads dvds well but it has some problems with cds (even with original cds). sometimes it works and sometimes not.
i tried to insall the firmware from vaio link download pages but it tells me that is not the right one.
any suggestions?

i am having the same problem with my VGN-FJ1S it plays DVD's in the DVD/CD Drive but will not read Audio CD and Gaming CD's.

Any help will be greately appreciated.

I have a similar problem: I just bought the VGN FE21S and all DVDs (+R -R of different brands) that I write with my vario are not readable. Neither by my vario nor any other computer. When I try to read the DVD I get a crc error. I have no problems with CDs and no problems with DVD-RW
I need the DVDs to copy my photos - not videos.
