Recovery System Doesn't work

I want to recover my computer, it's not the first time I do this, so I don't know what the problem is. when it's starting the recovery system, a error message appears "Recovery file is compatible with your model type" thanks for any help.

Where is the Error? It should compatible with your VAIO.

Or do you mean it's not compatible?


There was an Update on VAIO-Link for the VAIO-recovery. I think you must install it, then burn the DVD again.

the error occurs when I try to make a complete recovery. I´ve tried to download that file, but it doesn't work as well. The vaio came from tech support, when i delivered it didn't have this problem. What should I do?

Came your VAIO with a Recovery-DVD or Recovery-partition?
Maybe you must burn the DVD again. If you VAIO came with a DVD or the partition was deleted, then contact the TechSupport. You need a new Recovery DVD. They should send you one for free, I think.

you can type restore in search windows..then restore to prior date..you do set restore points when installing new programmes...is norton go back installed..try that..do you have restore to factory state..but if its been played with..it might restore iot to the state yoy sent it back in?..

then restore to date highlighted..take care

Yes Milo is right and wrong. Yes try system restore but don't use Nortons Go Back because there is a warning at Vaio Link Support that Go Back is not compatable with the Vaio Recovery because Go Back addresses the HD partitions in a different way and may corrupt a recovery.
