S4XP CPU and HDD temperature

HI,

I recently bought a VAIO S4XP/B, I very anxious about CPU temperature and Hard drive Temperature. my last laptop (DELL Inspiron 8200 was damaged becuase of hight temperature) . this is the reason why I decide to cahnge DELL by SONY .

my question is : If you had a vaio S4XP or an other model , what are yours CPU and HDD temperature after 1 hour work ?

for me: CPU temperature is 62C° and HDD temperature is 46C°, that is normal ?

(I m only surfing on the net, no big application running , I use SpeedFan software)

Thanks.

Hi

Welcome to the Forum

Some Sony machines do tend to run a little on the hot side.

Your temperatures seem OK to me though.

I agree with T-R, those temperatures are fine . . . . nothing to worry about there.

All the Pentium M chips have a max die temperature of 100C. The hard drive you will probably have to look up yourself.

If you feel you need more fanning going on, then get one of these

Might give you that extra peace of mind

How and where did you get these infos about CPU and HDD temperature from your laptop?????
I am very anxious about how hot my A317S gets after a couple of hours. It is hotter (although using a centrino) than the PCG-616 that uses a P4!!!
Since the e-support proves being a joke, and I really worry about temperature too, comments and advices will be most appreciated
Thanks
Luke
