Screen lightness differences on VGN-FS395

I have a pretty new VGN-FS395 and I am worried that something may be wrong with my screen. When I start the computer up and have a black loading screen (loading windows, BIOS, linux whatever) I can clearly see that the screen is lighter at the edges of the screen.
I get tha same effect on larger parts of the screen if I press on the back of the screen so I am worried that perhaps the chassi is faulty.

Anyone got the same problem and know if this can be fixed? I have a 3-year guarantee on this laptop from the place I bought it and I have already replaced it when I noticed avery faint horizontal line on the screen when it was dark so I must be sure before going again or they will think I am crazy

Silly answer maybe but did you check the brightness?

Yes, I did and it is fine - it is not the brithness of the whole screen that is the problem, it is that it is different at the edges (like a radiant effect)

Hmm sounds like the lights in the back are not right
I would ask VAIO-Link
