Screen stays on while in closed condition

Hi, I have a FS115B and got a small problem.

When I close my laptop in a dark room, I can see that the screen is still on. But if I put something heavy on the lid, the screen turns off.

I know that the hook presses in a button if you close the lid, but I think the contact is very minimal...

Can I repair this myself? How? Or does this fall under the standard warranty?

If you open your laptop to fix, even such a simple thing as that you'll void your warranty.

Your best bet is to go to power settings and set your monitor do turn off after 20 minutes or something.

You can also check for certainty in the Vaio Control Center if your monitor is set to turn off when you close the lid.

I would send it in to VAIO-Link if it's after 28 days of ownership

Is there a VAIO Link in The Netherlands? VAIO-Link, is that a Sony shop? Never heard about that...

There might be a centre near Rotterdam, but you don't need to worry about that as Sony send DHL to pick up your notebook and take it for repairs, and take it back to you within around 5 - 10 working days for free under warranty.
